Lincoln City FC Sport & Education Trust - known as Imps in the Community - have been successful in achieving funding from BBC Children in Need for the Get Onside Programme. AUTUMN HARVEST – A BUMPER 18 PROJECTS FUNDED IN OCTOBER

GRANTS NOW OVER £4.76m The Autumn proved to be a busy season for the Trust, as Club Community Organisations (CCOs) took the opportunity to apply for funds to run programmes over the winter months. Trustees awarded 18 grants in October, amounting to just over £307,000. Some were to new project and other additional funding to allow existing programmes to continue. Two new clubs applied successfully for the first time: East Thurrock and Poole Town. Parents in Southport Get on the Ball with Action for Children

Southport Football Club has joined forces with leading UK charity Action for Children to launch ‘Parents on the Ball’, an innovative and fun community programme which will equip participants in Sefton with new parenting skills and confidence. The programme, based at Southport’s Merseyrail Community Stadium, will offer mums, dads, grandparents and other carers from Southport and the surrounding area the opportunity to learn more about healthy family living.  The 12-week course will kick-off in September.
