Administrative Assistant to becoming a full-time stalwart of the Trust and Club

Matthew Sharp joined the Dagenham and Redbridge Community Trust staff as a part time admin Assistant as part of the HM Government’s ‘Kickstart’ scheme, post COVID. Matthew now works full time for the Trust and for the Club. He is a totally reliable and trustworthy young man who has taken on so many responsibilities. He is incredibly popular with everyone he deals with. He has completed his first FA coaching award and is now currently in the middle of UEFA C. He has coached children from the age of 4, boys and girls, through to 18-year-olds in schools, at the club and elsewhere. He has been responsible for the organisation and administration of multiple funded and unfunded activities including multisport camps, Matchday Guards of Honour, Matchday Mascots and so much more. He has played a major role in the NLT funded Kickstarter activities, not only in the administration and organisation, but also coaching where necessary.

Matthew has been a fantastic asset to both the Trust and the Club. No matter where he works, or who he works with, the feedback is always the same. Matthew’s efforts cross boundaries in the local community where he has worked with people aged from 4-99, in one the most diverse areas of the country. He is extremely competent in all working environments including working with boys, girls and adults, some living with physical, mental and other disabilities.

We hope to see Matthew continue with his great work and move into bigger and better positions in the future.
