Cornerstone of Borough in the Community programme honoured

Eastbourne Borough FC announced this year’s winner of their ‘Premier League Community Captain Award ‘was Andy Hollobone.

Andy started with the club ten years ago as an Under 7’s Manager. He has gone on to run several Community youth sessions on Saturday mornings, he manages U10 team, coaches on all their Half Term Soccer Schools and helps behind the bar with his wife Laura on first team match days. He is everywhere!

Andy is hugely popular with all their local children; he always has a smile on his face and his vast experience and know how a calming influence and cornerstone of their ‘Borough in the Community’ Programme for many years has been.

Priory Lane Stadium sits in the heart of Langney in Eastbourne and an area that Andy and his son Shay have supported for a long time through their coaching work. Many of the children come to Eastbourne Borough Football Club because of their love for Andy. His family all work tirelessly on behalf of the club in so many ways, the club said that “we are extremely lucky to have him as part of the Borough team”.
