PFA Community Champion Award

The PFA awards players up and down the pyramid to recognise those who have gone above and beyond within their club’s local community.

Oldham Athletic Club Captain Liam Hogan has been the focal point of hospital visits, football camps, school and mascot interactions over the last 12 months.

“I’m delighted to receive this award from the PFA”, said Liam. “You don’t do it for the awards, but when the club came into this league, we knew that it needed to re-engage with the community and that’s what we’ve done. I’ve really enjoyed the work and been enthusiastic about it.”

Community Trust representative Callum Irving presented the skipper with his award, and praised him for his efforts. “Liam has been a real leader when it comes to our community projects, he’s made our lives so much easier by being so accommodating and up for helping out. It’s great that his work hasn’t gone unnoticed, and he’s received this award.”
