Passionate coach who embodies the idea of community recognised

Ashley Francis-Sterling (Ash) has been one of Solihull Moors Foundation coaches for three years and during his time he has shown nothing but a passion to improve the lives and experiences of not only the young people in his team but the young people across the organisation.

Ash has a wealth of experience in youth development and as an ambassador for the club and Player Support Officer.

Ash worked in his spare time, around his family, job and the two teams he is involved with to work with the existing safeguarding team and welfare officers to develop his knowledge of football specific support and completed his Welfare Officers course to best prepare for his new role.

Ash has been the PSO for 5 months now and has really sunk his teeth into the position, becoming a regular at training sessions, hosting drop ins and being a regular line of support for not only the players, but for parents and coaches too.

Ashley is a fantastic member of the team and really embodies the idea of community. He takes great pride in being able to reach out and support as many people as possible and really thrives in his role. – Jordan Murphy Head of Youth and Juniors
