Suspended due to COVID and returning for the first time since 2019, 2022 has seen 40 clubs enter the National League Trust Under 11s Cup competition, with both boys and girls teams having the opportunity to compete. 262 primary schools from across the country (with a total of 167 boys teams and 95 girls teams) have competed to get to the regional finals, with the lucky few who advance representing their Club at the National Finals.
After a number of highly competitive regional stages, the winners of each regional group were:
Midlands – Barton Seagrave Primary School (Boys) representing Kettering Town FC, and St Alphege Primary School (Girls) representing Solihull Moors
North – St George’s CofE Academy (Boys) and Hurworth Primary School (Girls), both representing Darlington FC
North West – Ansdell Primary School (Boys) representing AFC Fylde, and St Martin’s Academy representing Chester FC
North London and Essex – Bournes Green Junior School (Boys) representing Southend United, and George Carey Primary School (Girls) representing Dagenham & Redbridge FC
South West – St Francis Primary School (Boys) representing Eastleigh FC and Riverside Primary School (Girls) representing Hereford FC
South London – Fleetdown Primary School (Boys) representing Dartford FC, and Allington Primary School (Girls) representing Maidstone United
Congratulations to the winners, who will now go on to represent their clubs and compete at the National League Trust Under 11s Cup Finals, to be held at the ground of Solihull Moors FC on Thursday 7 July 2022.
